Recent Tragedy

Hello to all Brothers,

As many of you already know, we lost one of our active brothers today in a fire that completely destroyed the chapter house. The young man's name was Brian Schlittler and he was a resident of the house. I have started this blog to enable communication regarding funeral arrangements, alumni and active contact, and future reconstruction of the fraternity house.

If you have anything that you would like me to post, you may contact me at Doug@InfinityMortgage.us or on my cell phone (314)574-8096.

Phi Phi Kappa Alpha,
Doug Haldeman

For anyone that doesn't know me, my name is Mark King, I am Brian's Pledge Brother, one of his best friends. I would visit B day in, day out... "Did you get Gears of War yet, did you see the new E3 trailer for PS3, you wanna play co-op 'Vegas' tomorrow after class." This was our typical conversation... we are such nerds. I made a point to always come up to the house and check in on his collection of games and movies 3-4 times a week. Me, Brian, and Dan would play Guitar Hero non-stop for hours at a time. I miss these times, but life does go on... What I have to do now is be sure that his nerdy legacy lives on.
One night, myself, Brad, and Chris went through a fifth of SoCo that Brian gave us. We got super shitty, and let me tell you we had fun. We had just come from Greeks, already wasted. God, it was awesome, for anyone who had been in Brian's room, I'm sure you noticed the endless amount of holes in his ceiling. All four of us, felt the need to play with Brian's sweet ass swords. This was a mistake. I got stabbed by Brian, and we put about 50 holes in his ceiling that night. http://umsl.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=30087031&id=71902415 go to this site to see pictures of my favorite time ever with Big B.
He truly was one of the strongest men in the world. He should have already been gone, but God was kind enough to grace us with him for long enough for Brian to touch so many more peoples lives. He is awesome, I love him, he is a fabulous human being, and I can't wait to see him again. Go to www.pikes.net to see info about Brian Schlittler, please donate to help his family with their tragic loss. It is sponsored by U.S. Bank and it's title is the Brian Schlittler Memorial Fund

Brian and I went through Middle school and high school together. We used to draw crazy silly comics in History class together in 7th grade. In 8th grade some kids were making fun of Brian's last name I got in a Fist fight and beat him up. Then I got suspended. HAHA. WE used to play sports at his house, and I remember Going to Six Flags together on the day after school got cancelled for asbestos. He was awesome. He will be missed. LOve you man.
