Alumni from the Zeta Phi Chapter have teamed up with the Pi Kappa Alpha National Headquarters to establish the Zeta Phi Recostruction Fund where Pi Kappa Alpha Chapters, Housing Corps, Alumni Associations and individual alumni can contribute to the recostruction effort. Letters have gone out to all Active Chapter and Colony Presidents as well as all Alumni Association Presidents informing them of our tragedy and requesting assistance.
If you would like to make a contribution, a credit card donation can be made online at https://www.pikes.org/Forms/ZetaPhiReconstructionFund.aspx or a check can be made payable to “Pi Kappa Alpha”. In the note section on the check write, “Zeta Phi Reconstruction Fund” and then send it to:
Pi Kappa Alpha Memorial Headquarters

Please understand that the federal government does not allow tax deductibility for donations to a fund of this nature.
If anyone has any questions or would like to discuss the reconstruction effort, please feel free to contact me.

We will never forget you Brian
Brian was the most caring and giving person I have ever met. He was always positive and fun to be around. He was the type of type guy that no one could have anything bad to say about him. He is loved by so many, and myself and my brothers really miss him. Greeks will never be the same with out him. We will always love you and keep you in our hearts Brian Fredrick Schlittler.

The House
It's hard to even think about the loss of the building when there has been a loss of life. But I find myself mourning the loss of the house and it's contents. That house was central to so many of my best memories, and it has always been a physical reminder of the friendships that I developed through Pi Kappa Alpha. I welcome everyone to post their memories of the house.
Glenn Tope has generously volunteered to loan one of his rental houses in Bel-Ridge to the fraternity as an interim chapter house. We have already started to discuss the rebuilding of the house, which definitely will happen. We are planning on establishing a fund for the guys to help them get established in the interim house and help refurnish a new house once it is built. I will send more info on the fund once we get it set up.
All of the trophies, pictures and composites were lost in the fire. It's going to take some time, money, and effort to recreate as much of this as we can. If any of you have pictures or composites that you could donate or allow us to copy, send me an email or post a response.
What are your feelings about the house?

Brian Schlittler
Pi Kappa Alpha Brothers,
Early this morning we lost our brother, Brian Schlittler. Brian was 25 years old and was in his last semester of his senior year. I'd like to speak for the alumni and extend our sympathies to the active chapter and especially to Brian's family for their deep and devastating loss. While at the house today, I witnessed the overwhelming grief that the chapter is feeling due to the loss of Brian. I want the active chapter to feel free to share their thoughts and memories about Brian here.
There will be a memorial service tonight, November 29th, at UM-St. Louis. It will be on the South Campus at 7:00. I will post more details about the exact location as they become available.
If you have pictures that you would like to share, send them to me at Doug@InfinityMortgage.us.

Recent Tragedy
Hello to all Brothers,
As many of you already know, we lost one of our active brothers today in a fire that completely destroyed the chapter house. The young man's name was Brian Schlittler and he was a resident of the house. I have started this blog to enable communication regarding funeral arrangements, alumni and active contact, and future reconstruction of the fraternity house.
If you have anything that you would like me to post, you may contact me at Doug@InfinityMortgage.us or on my cell phone (314)574-8096.
